Safety

As we finalize plans for the 11th Annual Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure this weekend at our State Capitol, we want you to be aware of a few additional details. In addition to our primary goal of raising funds to support breast cancer research and community-based breast health programs, creating a safe experience for participants and volunteers, is equally important.

We ask all of our participants to be aware of their surroundings during the day. If you see something that seems out of the ordinary or that is concerning to you, please say something. Reach out to a member of the Race planning committee. Committee members can be identified by their green long sleeved “Race Committee” t-shirts. Enjoy the beautiful weather and memorable day with your family and friends!

For the safety of all participants, rollerblades, bicycles and pets are discouraged from participating in this event.

Babyjoggers and strollers will be allowed, but are asked to start at the rear of the event.

Course

The 5K run/walk is a downtown loop starting on Capitol Avenue.
